Our I-485 has been approved on Apr 27, 04 and received the notices on May 01. I changed my job after 180 days of filing I-485 and did not inform INS based on attorney's advice. My attorney told me that I can inform INS on job change if I get RFE.
For those who are very much concerned about their online message status, I used to get the following message throughout my I-485 process period (For 26 months).
CASE STATUS :
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Processing for your Alien Registration Card or Green Card has been completed. Your BCIS document will be mailed to you as soon as it is ready.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
This message never got changed even after FP1 and FP2 processes. It got changed only when my case got approved. So don't worry about the status messages. Never Called USCIS-Customer Service center knowing very well that I will be getting only useless replies. Never contacted Senator or Congressman. I just left my case to go on its own pace.
I learnt lot of useful information from this forum and it helped me in many situations. Thanks a lot for Rajiv Khanna and all other members of this forum who actively participated and extended a helping hand when ever I was in need of one. I wish everyone good luck in getting their Green Cards approved soon.
