in recent approvals thread I am maintaining it on FIR concept
(First Information Received)
when the individual reports it first is the time it goes into the respective thread

Jan Recent Approvals thread contains people who reported in Jan
and Feb ........................

hope this clears any doubts about the recent approvals thread also.

:)

Your thread is fine, rsrgc. It is maintained by date of reporting. But this thread is supposed to be

I think we are veering away from the basic concept of this thread.
All things considered, don\'t you think CSC has picked up considerable speed. If you look at the feb approvals thread maintained by you(rsrgc), we will probably surpass Jan\'s approval count by this time next week. Looks like we will probably break out that proverbial bottle of champagne earlier than we think! Need to go shop for cigars. Wow! :)

I had posted a while back that maybe CSC was working to clear the backlog and move the JIT forward. They seem to have done just that. The possible reason why we didn\'t see many approvals during December and early January was they were working on old backlogged cases. We didn\'t hear of those approvals because possibly we don\'t track as far back as that. Now that the backlog has been cleared they are surging ahead. I hope they keep this up.

reply

yes - go east or west csc is the best

It seems like CSC is trying to reach the goal of
\'adjudication before 180 days\'

AC21 law has been passed because of criticism of INS regarding the 485 approval stage and the long time it was taking for adjustment of status.

There are two major reasons for delay

One - No visa numbers available
two - processing is not smooth and has unnecessary bottlenecks
my guess is that INS and CSC are trying their best to smooth out the unnecessary bottlenecks and this is clearly indicated by their doing fingerprinting at an early stage in the 485 process currently

Hope things speed up more

There must be some new whiz kids in CSC helping them speed up things

    Imminf - 10:35am Feb 7, 2002 EST
(Forgot to post this here yesterday)
Never thought I\'d get to hear the word "approved" but I did !! I-485 approved and got passports stamped. The IIO only asked for the approval notice & photos and the passports
to stamp on, didn\'t ask for anything else at all (even though the notice says you need to take along your I-94 etc), didn\'t even ask for the EAD\'s and AP\'s Well, sigh Hope all of
you get your approvals soon. Guess INS is approving older cases now.

a phone number to call the IIO, the FBI #, the procedures, just loads of information that the lawyer didn\'t want us to find out and was very very surprised that we did. Thanks

they swelled to about 50 somehow at 7.00 am. Went in at 7.30

The IIO also helped me check my husband\'s case. It was approved too yesterday.

Can anybody share the passport stamp experience in San Diego?

Here is good news: I-485 cases for myself, wife and kids have been approved
on 02/04/02 and got approval notices (courtesy copies) on 02/07/02 by mail.

(But, AVM still has same old message:

AVM updated: on Dec. 29, 2001 your FP results have been collected and your case has been resumed.......
    AD: 02/04/2002

I have some questions to ask you regarding GC stamping:
    (1) What time and day would be suitable to go to San Jose office for stamping as current plan is to go by
5 AM on monday with family.
    (2) Will courtesy copy for approval be ok for stamping as I got only courtesy copies and my lawyer
got original copies for me and wife but still waiting for the kids. Should I wait to get all original copies.
    (3) I will carry the following documents for stamping:
Passports, I-94, approval copies, photos, EAD cards, AP copies and recent pay-slip for my employer.
Is there any other document which may be necessary to carry for stamping.

    Your response would be appreciated.

A lot of thanks for Rajiv Khanna, Ciba, Dee Rod, PCee and other friends for the tons of useful information
and really this web site is great.

Wishing the best of luck for other friends, you all would get your approvals soon.
Anyway hope for the best and have firm faith on Almighty God.

I will again post message after GC stamping would be done.

    Regards,
    sonasony (M P Alam)

What a week this has been, 32 approvals so far and counting

rsrgc counted 36 on his thread, I need to reconcile the figurs at my end.
+ There are always some late reporters ( 7/8 cases)
Speculating that this week we had close to 40 approvals on this forum for APRIL, MAY and JUNE.
Total numbers of FP done caes are close to 260 that means we got fantastic % last week, unprecedented.

Well Done CSC folks, keep up the good work.

Two simple questions:

2. Can she still enter using her AP?

This forum had been a source of great info.
Wish you all an early approval!
