Feb 2002 RD -- 2nd FP -- AD?

How do we know whether finger prints are readable by FBI or not. I called FBI and they said, they processed the Finger Prints and forwarded them to INS. And she said, they are not allowed to disclose the details.

Hi! Just curious. Why do you think a request for the 3rd fingerprint is being generated. Is it because the 2nd one was "un-readable". Any thoughts on this? Its been 3+ months since my 2nd FP
 
I actually called the local Boston Finger print office this morning. The lady was very polite. When I told her about the 3rd FP notice just two months after the 2nd FP being done -- she told me to bring the notices by. That way they can check for sure and let us know whether we have to take 3rd FP or not.

By the way -- our 2nd FP never got updated in the automated system. Could be a reason for generating 3rd FP notice!

Will let you know what happens after visiting the local office.
 
Looks like Feb RD's are getting approved. Anyone who replied to this thread got approval yet? Just curious.

It has been over 3 and half months since 2FP. still waiting.
 
The weekly updates from "sbctsublc" and "DJC0" [FORUM: Tracker, I-485, Vermont Service Center – THREAD: VSC I485 Fiscal Yr 2002 - Progress Reports] suggest that as of March 5th, only 35% of I-485 cases with Notice Dates in January 2002 have been completed/approved.

For Feb 2002 ND's the number is even smaller i.e. 25.7% of the cases and for March 2002 Notice Dates, only 16.7% of the cases have been approved.

The RUPNET database also suggests similar numbers.

It’s been exactly 6 months since my 2nd fingerprinting and I am anxiously waiting for an end to this nightmare like everyone else.

There is no pattern. I did my FP2 in Aug2002 and again received a 3rdFP Notice on 23rd Dec2002. I also received a RFE for Paystubs.
The 3rd FP was a mistake as per the local ASC. I replied for the RFE but no approval yet. One of my friend got approval 2 months after FP.
Bottomline there is no trend.
