Feb 2002 Approve and Stamping Experience

....my information is for your gauge
...got approve last August 24 past 7 in the evening
...USCIS sent an e-mail message
...online status changed to approve
...can't wait to go home and see the actual letter

Once I saw that there was a lot of approval from FP2 made last April to July. I knew mine was not far from being approved. I was right!

Thanks to the forum!

P.S. I'll update you of my stamping experience.

Every time, after you changed your address, did you get something in your new address or it went to the old address?

jsmith888666,

I notified them of all my changes of addresses through phone and forms. Their letters came to the latest address. So far I haven't received any yet to my latest address, my permanent home :) . Hopefully, I'll be receiving the approval there.

Hope this gives you some idea.

Surprise, surprise. I got the mail of my approval, 10 days later, and it got my old address on it. Bad, because I updated them of my latest addess, phone and mail and apparently didn't use it. Good, because they forwarded the mail to my current address. I called them 2 days just before i received the mail to verify my address and they said it's the current one. And if ever they mailed it to a wrong address, they will get the mail back within 30 days! I'm glad that didn't happen.

I'm glad I didn't stop surfing this site. I was informed that on certain District, before you can visit them, you need to have INFOPASS. And the picture needed is different from what is described on the Approval letter. Instead of the 3/4 facing, it should be full frontal.

Anyway, I got my infopass for Aug 8 at 10:15 am. I went to the district at 9:50 on Aug 8, with the Infopass appointment and got directed to the second window which does not have any queue. The walk-ins were on different window. The person in the counter scan my infopass and check my full fron 2 pictures. She gave me waiting number 18, then directed me to another room. In that room, there were 2 windows open, one with number 17 another with 665. I was called to the first one after 5 minutes. Asked for the papers, including EAD and Advance Parole (gave them only the latest), stamped my passport, gave my signature and fingerprint, and done. Went home. That was easy.

The infopass really helped. I used to go to the district at 5:30 in the morning just to get ahead in the line. But with infopass, no more early mornings and too much waiting.
