FBI - Response No records found

Today I got a snail mail response from FBI chief stating there is "no records found" for my FOIPA request, so does it mean that my name check is cleared?. Gurs can you comments on this?

Hello Raj, I'm sure it means your name check is cleared. Well, I say that based on what I have read so far on this forum. Could you please let me know how you contacted FBI...a letter? email? phone? format of the letter? etc. I went to Infopass today and they again told me that my name check was pending. Please let me know how I could contact FBI. Thanks.

Not really. FOIPA is different from name check and security clearance. Its time to contact senators, congrssman or first lady with this information and request for help to clear FBI name check. Search this forums and you find templates ad contact information.
 
Sorry to say that its not NC, read the fact sheet attaced with FOIPA. It says only that your name not found in the FBI main file. Name check is something they chack with ref file, and its complecated process. There is no way get this info from FBI to us other then using Senator or congresman or FL.

I wrote a letter to records section chief on June 12th and Got a response June 29 th with letter dated on June 25th. Since the letter format is in my work computer will post it here Monday.

Thanks for the suggestion. As you pointed out it says not found on main file. It looks like long way to go for this name check hell.
