FBI Name Check

I contacted Local congressman office last week to get a status of my case and today they informed me that my case is still going through FBI name check. I did my second FP on October 9 and tought I will get approval in a month or so after that.

Anybody with similar situation please tell me how long the name check may take. Congressman's office tells me it may take another two weeks or more. Thanks for your help.

How do you know if your name check is complete or not? My online message is showing the same stuff that my papers were recieved on such a date ....for more than a year since I filed my 485 papers. Is there any proactive way to find out if my family's name check is complete or not?
 
I know that my Name Check is pending because I contacted local congressman office and received reply that my name check has not been completed by FBI. I've been asked to contact congressman office in about a month if I do not hear from them before that.
