FBI FP check

In response to some of the questions made regarding FP checks by FBI.
Today I called the FBI number posted by douls yesterday on the FBI thread; to check the status of fingerprint check.
The lady asked me for my A# and last name, and told me that my FP results were sent to the CIS on the same day that they were taken (the same day??? I mean it was noon time by the time they completed taking my fingerprints, that seems a little fast). She did not tell me what the results were.

I am assuming that this is a good sign, but my LUD never changed. Does it usually change when they receive this info?

I am also in the same situation. I got my FP done one 10/14/2005 and I checked my status online same day, LUD was 10/14/2005. Then few days later LUD was 10/17/2005. Can I assume that USCIS received my FP results???........Please help?

Cheers,

I did my Bio code 1,2 and 3 all on the same day, 09/20/05. My LUD never changed.

wow all of them the same day!
what's the deal with fingerprints anyways?
I had my prints done in 2000 during my hearing and that's it.
I got my RFI in july 2005 and never got anything else after that.
my ND 12/14/01
no prints in 2004
I don't know but I think that all of my ID forms that I presented were good and CIS doesn't need to verify my ID anymore, at least for now.
When I came to US I handed them my NP, military records, birth sertificate, my diplomas and so on. Any coments about that?

Not sure, I would think that you would still be required to submit fingerprints. During your hearing? You mean asylum hearing?

Because if that is the case then you should still be required to provide FP set for I-485.

I did my initial FP in May 04. And then got Bio code 1 and 2 around June and July 05. But because I had to reschedule, I ended up doing them all on 09/20/05.

yes asylum hearing. I did submit my prints for the hearing and my background check in 1999 and 2000. probably i will have to do new set of prints after my case is looked at. I can't tell but my wife didn't have her original birth sertificate and she had to do prints in 2004. I contacted CIS and was told that every case is different. Also I remember seeing in this forum that some people did prints right before their GC was approved. sorry I cant spell as you can tell (even after going to school here for the last 3.5 years) :) :D

Cheers,

That is exactly what I would assume.

Anyway, DOES anyone know what it means that my FBI print check was returned to CIS the same day? I mean people here are talking 1 or 2 months. And why the LUD hasn't changed since 9/20???

Thanks,

Hi, annaraka,

I also checked with FBI after I took bio code 1 on Sept.27, I think because FBI only check the criminal record from their data base, it is pretty quick, so they can send the results back to USCIS in the same day,

I think after you sumitted the RFE and laso your fingerprint is valid period, so only when officer want to look at your case, lud will be changed, it will be great sign for your case, it is means you will get approved pretty soon, several of people I know also got approved just 1-2 days after the lud changed,

Good luck,

Good luck!!!!!!!

That's exactly what I was told by the lady. Yes I was FPrinted (code 1) on 10/14/05 & she said report was sent to USCIS on the very same day. No LUD change what so ever. Well, Lets hope for the best. Who knows may be were are close. My ND is 2000 but that don't make no difference cause people even got ND 2002 got approved as I see in this forum .
Good luck my friend.
Atique.
