Eight months waiting sounds too long. I hear FBI usually responds to your name check inquiry in 3-4 mos. Are you sure you emailed: FBINNCP@ic.fbi.gov
I emailed them in March and of course haven't heard from them. But I don't care anymore as my case was approved early thins month!

I emailed on November 16th 2005 no reply yet. But my dependent emailed on December 20th 2005 got a reply back on April 6th 2005. So looks like even emails gets lost in their inbox.

I emailed them back again on April 6th 2005. Lets see what happens.
