What will it be for the February 2007 bulletin? Oooo let me guess, April 22, 2001?

Have they really been over their quota for so long that they can't advance the date, and when they do, will they only advance it by a week like they did a year and a half ago from April 15 to April 22?

Also does anyone know if the DOS post up how many visas are issued on a monthly basis?

yeah maybe in june/july it will move to may/01 2001
forget about visa bulletin, theres no hope nowadays for fb1.
my pd is 6/2002 and i think, im gonna need to wait 2-3 years more till something happens. just 23,400 visas per year for sons/daughters of us citizens is f***ing ridiculous;thats why it moves only 1 week every 1 1/2 years.

I can't beleive that they give such a small amount of visa to sons/daughters of US citizens something sounds really wrong with that. these fucker has he by the balls.

Hello
I anly know that I am (2) days away April 24 2001 and every month it is the same movie

Problem is that they're not processing I130/I485 fast enough that the FB1 gets saturated. It takes 5 years to become a citizen once you have the green card, hence most FB2 categories petitions filed now become part of the FB1 category... granted the sponsor has since become a naturalized citizen.

FB2 petitions would need to be fully completed within 5 years not to affect the FB1 pool, and that's just not happening. Also remember the 245i passed in late 2000... any FB2 applicants who have applied thru a permanent resident have most likely been upgraded to FB1 by now.

And Paulita, I really feel for you... that's insane... I would be fuming!!! I don't agree with quotas, especially when you're bound to have a green card one day anyway... why not let it be now? It's funny they keep talking about ways to revamp the system legalizing all those millions of illegals who for the most part could careless about their status.... while there are millions of others like us waiting thru the legal channel to assimilate in a country that most refer to us as living off of.

I'm actually having my father hold off on becoming a citizen. I have 2 petitions, one thru my mother and one thru my father. My mother is taking the oath on the 18th allowing me to become part of the FB1 category, leaving my other petition thru my father in the FB2b category... I will actually meet with my lawyer and discuss whether that is a possibility to be left playing both fields.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but at the given rate of a week every 1.5 year, it shall take roughly 88 years before your PD becomes current! But don't worry, I got 63 myself... I'm right up there with you!

hehe, nice you made that effort to calculate it :D im glad, im not alone as well!
no but honestly, do they care for their citizens and their family at all? instead to focus on it and fix it, their spend so much resources trying to dominate the world.

Fb1 Category Hsould Move Faster

I agree with you.. What does it mean FAMILY BASED FIRST PREFERENCE...??? They need to change rules... ridiculuous... ALL other categories moving faster than F1....

Look like something is going wrong with this quota... Actually, when we see FB1 interview on consulate.... just few 5-10... I dont understand where they used 23400.....?????????????????????

you should check this link( http://travel.state.gov/pdf/FY06AnnualReportTableII.pdf). The number of first prefrence was under filled last five years. The quota of first preference should be 23400 every year but it just had been used less than 17300(average) every year. over 6000 quotas were missing every year.

They are not taking care of unmarried on daughter of U.S citizen parents.. there may have problem in administrative system ... quota did not use as 23400 since 2002..............check below...FB1 should be run on 2003 -2004 as per last 10 years record............ whats going on we dont know....
