Fax Inquiry Process

My I -485 application has been pending for more than 9 months now. A few weeks back my lawyer had
sent a FAX Inquiry on the case. I am interested in knowing how this process works. How long does it
take for INS to respond and what type of answer can I expect? Talked to IIO a few times but did not
get any useful information.

My details are:
Listed as Sriram Aravas under Ciba\'s list
Center: CSC center
EB-2 RIR
PD 09/99
I-485 ND 10/2000
FP done 02/01
Waiting ever since..........

did IIO say its assigned to officer? If not then like Ching why dont you email CSC...or fax once every week thru lawyer or call IIO every week..it will make a difference..

that email is for premium processing only....thats what i understand
