fast EB1-1 approval from VSC

I was pleasently surprised to find out that my I-140 (EB-1-1) was approved by VSC in 1 week. In fact my approval letter came before the acknowledgemnt letter (confirming the receipt of my petition). My qualification is OK, just like most of the people in this forum and definitely not the nobel prize category.
Is this a freak incident? Does anyone know of cases where the petition has been approved so fast, at least by VSC?
Also, although I had concurrently filed my 485 AOS, the INS approval letter states that my case has been fprwarded for CP! Would appreciate advice from netters on how to handle this case!
Thanks

That's great but I can't explain it. The ones that I have pending at VSC have taken longer than that.

No RFE?

Congrats on your approval!

It is very unusuall to see such an early approval without even an RFE being generated for your case.
I saw some people do get approved on their I140 petitions within 3 months - but only after replying to RFE that was generated after initial review of the case by BCIS.

If your file was really send out to your Consulate - should you consider taking some time off and get your passport stamping done in your home country? Be done with the whole GC process in 2 months?
You would make it to the records as the luckiest green card applicant!
:D

My explanation is that for concurrent processing an initial review needs to be done. During that initial review, if the officer finds that the case is really strong, then he/she approves the petition instead of piling it up, thereby saving time later on. So maybe thats why the case got approved so fast...

Hi:
sorry for not the delay in replying to some of the queries.
My credentials are:
pharma/biotech field
Ph.D, post-doc from top engineering school
12 papers,
2 book chapters
2 published, and 7 pending patents
One grant as co-PI from NIH with good score
one submitted grant as PI
Research led to a startup
15 newspaper articles about my research (only 4 named me by person and photograph, the rest were just about my research without my name in the article)
20 articles (including a couple in wall street journal) about the startup- none of them mentioned my name though
reviwer/associate editor of 7 journals
substantial proof that my research is impacting my field in a big way in terms of letters from people at very very high post in university, and government agency.
my cover letter pointed that my research has resulted in practical applications, and went over them point by point with reference.
My cover letter was about 12 pages long, and it mainly stated what my area of expertise is, the direct and practical applications of my research, and gist of the letters from my referees. I had a total of 8 letters. I submitted an EB2-NIW also, but haven't heard from that petition yet.
Thanks, and Good luck.

i140ea: thanks for the reply. May I ask if you used an attorney, or filed it yourself, in which case did you use any do-it-yourself type kits? Thanks.
