I read a message on July 19 by Sud_Pal saying:
"Yep, it is real man, My LC took 3 weeks and I-140 took 3 weeks to fininsh in EB3(RIR)."

How is this possible ? While some of us wait for 9 months to get I-140 approved.
is it purely that INS just works randomly or could it dependent on the lawyer or the company sponsoring the GC ??
Does hiring your own lawyer vs. applying through the company\'s lawyer have a faster turnaround time ??

It\'s luck. Really just luck. I wish it was something we
could pay for, otherwise I would happily pay thousands of
dollars to get whatever it is!!

I work for a big company, who hire very prominent attorney
firm.

I know of someone at our company (on L1 visa) who took 6 months from
Labor Certificate to I485 approval.

I also know of someone at our company who has been waiting
since September 2000 for his I140!

Well bobgo, people on L-1 do not need to get labor, 2 months on I-140 and 4 months on I-485 is all it takes....you are right it is lcuk

It happened with me too!
Got LC in 3 weeks
got 140 in 3 weeks too !!
but then had to wait for priority date to become current...
I too was surprised, but it happened !!
One of my other frnds got LC in 1 week, just last week !!

I got LC in around 2 weeks after filing and I-140 in around 2 1/2 months. I\'m in EB3 India and filed 485 recently. But didn\'t get receipt notice yet.
