Family sponsored category transfer from F2B to F3

Hi

Just wanted to get some expert opinion on my situation. My mother, a permanent resident sponsored me for a green card in F2B category. She is now eligible to get her citizenship, will it be now possible to have my case moved from F2B to F3 while maitaining the same priority date. I am also married now so waiting for F2B dates to become current is immaterial (I-130 is approved). Category transfer would be something nice and will sure beat going back in the queue. :)

If you got married before your mother got citizenship then your mother will have to file the whole thing again and you don't retain the priority date. If you got married after her citizenship then you retain the priority date. She will only have to update your category from F2 to F3. See the visa bulletin .It says PRs cannot file for married children.
