Family-based Sponsor's Tax Forms only available for one year (2002) - problem?

... And another question. Quick situation recap: wife is a USC, we'll be filing I-485/I-130 soon.

I-864 requires, as supporting evidence, the sponsor's tax forms and W-2s for the past 3 years. My wife, however, has been out of college only for the past 1.5 years, and actively employed (and required to file taxes paperwork) for a bit over a year. Hence, the only year that she has tax forms available for is 2002.

Now, her income in 2002 was over the prescribed 125% of the poverty line. Her current income is, too.

Does anyone think it may be a problem that we submit only one year's worth of tax forms and W-2s? Thanks.

If your wife did not have sufficient income to file a tax return for 2000/01, then BCIS should not hold that against you. But to be on the safe side, in addition to her 2002 return, she should also include a current letter of employment detailing her salary & 2 paystubs along with the Affidavit of Sponsorship.
