I have sponsored for my brother and he has got his interview in Delhi. Hoping that he will get GC, how long can he delay coming to USA. He needs some time in India as he has business to wind up. Is there a time-period by which he needs to be here in USA?
Please advise. Thanks in advance

Better let him come and get his GC etc here with in 2-3 months and go back and wind up all the activities there

I do believe your brother can delay the actual issuing of the greencard. You might contact the Consulate over there and see what they can tell you about this, every Consulate is doffrent, but I do believe that after the interview you can delay sending off the action of approval ,(anyone please correct me if I am wrong) and that will slow things down a bit, then I when your brother finally decides to go to the Port Of Entry to activate his greencard (6 months after the approval of the greencard) I do believe he has an additional 6 months to tie things up in his home country. Please post what you find out about this and good luck to your brother.

Maybe I dont know the procedure now. Somebody please clarify and answer my question.
1. He goes to Consulate for interview. What does he get? Not GC, then what; Stamp on passport.
2. When does he need to enter USA?
