Family based GC-reinstating case

Hi,

My uncle sponsored my Mom(beneficiary) in 1992 Priorty date.
In 2005 NVC sent the packet but we didn't receive it.
Somehow we lost track regarding GC.
But in 2007 may I started following up with NVC and they asked me to
send a letter specifying the reasons of not contacting NVC.

I sent the letter in June2007 and till now I don't have the status of the case.
I keep calling NVC and they don't have any answer.
They say that they have forwarded the case in Mumbai conulate for review.
But disheartening part is that NVC says there is no timeline for this.

I am just wondering if anyone here have info regarding this peculiar situation.
How much time it takes for reinstating the case?

You need to contact the US consulate in Mumbai. As long as the original I-130 is still valid and the priority date is current, your mother should receive her GC.
