Family applying for citizenship

Hello friends, I have a question/request for advise.

After reading here about N-400 not approved and citizenship problems, I became kind of paranoic (you know long time dealing with USCIS), I have never been back to COP neither renewed NP, I have 2 main questions/requests for advise.

1- should my wife and me (same GC approval date) apply for citizenship at the same time? or is better that derivative apply first?

2- should we hire an attorney? I thought that it was kind of waste of money because we don't have any kind of "problems" but now I don't know.

please share your thoughts.

Thanx

I don't see any reason to why the two of you should not apply together, just send your apps in separate envelopes. If your case is straight forward then there is no need to hire a lawyer, however the decision is totally yours.

Just gather evidence and come up with a good explanation as to why you returned to your COP, just in case they ask. They may not even ask, though.

No need to send the application in two separate envelopes. You can send it in one, if you like. The choice is yours.
