Family application (one approved and other pending)

Hello,

My self and my wife applied to OCI in April. And my application is approved and the documents are delivered to Houston in July. And my wife's status is still under process at New Delhi.

And I have sent couple of emails to (and tried calling) Hoston consulate about my wife's application.

I'm not sure if I need to send my passport and get my OCI first or wait for my wife's status change to approved. Since it is a family application, I believe the return postage is paid for both the passports. If I get mine, do I need to send additional postage to get my wife's OCI?

Any suggestions from anyone ?

I hate these guys at embassy. Not sure why they can't answer/reply to an email. We all are paying them hundreds of dollars for processing the application. Don't they have a courtesy to respond to a query.

If they were sooo... efficient we would all be living in India. They probably love us so much they don't want to let us go:D

forget about e-mails there is no one to pick up the phone.
