failure to report address changes

Hello all,

A green card holder is required to file Form AR-11 "change of address card" within 10 days for every time he or she changes address.

What is the best advice for someone who has failed to report multiple address changes in the last three years since the issue of a green card?

Has anybody ever been in this situation?

The best and only advice is to simply file an AR-11 today, online with uscis.gov, with their current address, and keep a copy of the receipt.

Nothing more needs to be done. It doesn't matter if he's moved once or a dozen times.

This is really akin to driving without a license, without being caught. Once you get your license, there is no need to do anything retroactively.

Thanks for your swift reply - much appreciated!

Got another questions - might sound like nit-picking though, but nevertheless, I'll ask it anyways:

The previous address is no longer the same as the one they send the greencard to (i.e. the address they currently have on file).

Should the previous address that is required to be filled out on the (online) AR-11 form be the last address they have on file, or the REAL last address of the green card holder?

Thanks
G
