Dear Rajiv,

I came across a report entitled
"Immigration and Immigrants: Setting the Record Straight"
published by the Urban Institute

http://www.urban.org/Template.cfm?NavMenuID=24&template=/TaggedContent/ViewPublication.cfm&PublicationID=5868

Where the goals of US immigration policy are summarized

The principal goals of U.S. immigration policy are:

- Social—unifying U.S. citizens and legal residents with their families;
- Economic—increasing U.S. productivity and standard of living;
- Cultural—encouraging diversity;
- Moral—promoting human rights;
- National and economic security—controlling illegal immigration.

I think the fact that Defendants are completely failing 4th principal goal of the immigration policy should be brought to the Congress's or court's attention, if it comes to that.

Thank you,

Dear Rajiv,

Would it make sense to question competency and ability of the Defendants to lead BCIS and be entrusted by the government to implement the US immigration policy based on these grounds? Wouldn't it add an incentive for the Defendants to settle, rather than defend their competency and abilities in the court?

Thank you,

There is no legal basis for making or enforcing that through court.
