Failed courses in Canadian Post Secondary Diploma

Hi,

Will failed courses in diploma have any effect in applying for TN status at POE?

Got the degree though - Computer engineering Technology embedded networks ..

Graduated in 2010 and been working as Software QA Analyst for the past 7 years.

Will be using canadian post secondary diploma with 6 years work experience for applying for TN status as computer systems analyst . .

The diploma is all that matters. No need to even show transcripts (Bring it along however).
You will definitely need letter(s) documenting at least 3 years of your work history, not simply a resume)

Thanks nelsona. Yes I will be taking the work experience letters from past employers ...

bringing work experience letters is a new requirement now? I have gotten 4 TN status with just Bachelors Degree, Resume, Transcript, and CPA designation certificate...

If you are using canadian education(post secondary diploma ), you have to show relevant 3 years experience. ..

But if it's just bachelors. .no need..

I have bachelors in engineering as well..but it's in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering. .

Ozzie, you didn't need to bring resume -- ever. You have a degree. Experience is not needed with degree.

Nelsona,

In my bachelor's degree, I have around 5 direct computer related courses and rest are electronics related.
Can I use my bachelors degree for applying for TN status at poe?

Why? You have the requirements in your diploma and experience, don't you?
Yes..I have..But I'm a Senior Software qa analyst. .and I do not entire duties as systems analyst but 50% of it ..

But when I checked the occupation handbook, I come under a type of systems analyst...see below:

Many computer systems analysts are general-purpose analysts who develop new systems or fine-tune existing ones; however, there are some specialized systems analysts. The following are examples of types of computer systems analysts:

Software quality assurance (QA) analysts do indepth testing and diagnose problems of the systems they design. Testing and diagnosis are done in order to make sure that critical requirements are met. QA analysts also write reports to management recommending ways to improve the systems.

So my question is do I qualify for the systems analyst position?

Yes. What other TN category do you meet?
And what does this have to do with using your degree instead of diploma?
