F4 visa question

Hello,

I am US citizen and I had applied I 130 for my brother as unmarried and after applying that, he got maaried in 2 years. My question is-when I can his martial status? Before approval or after approval fron USCIS. PLease reply me soon. Thanks.

Don't worry, once the petition is approved, and when a visa number is issued to him (average 9 to 10 years) you can add his wife's name and any kids.

Citi786 is right, it could only be done after it goes to NVC for CP when your priority date becomes current.

So getting married does not invalidate I130 I guess. Can a married brother/sister also be sponsored by a sibling, what's the difference in terms of qualification and priority dates if the sibling is married vs. unmarried?

Yes, in case if F-4, and Yes and no qualification/time difference!

That is true for the F4 category, but for others getting married can invalidate the I-130 or move it to a different category with a longer backlog.
