F2A Immigrant Visa

Hi,

I did my one year MBA overseas and maintainined status by returning once in a while during the year. Later I stayed in US for 5 months and took reentry permit for 2 years for family reasons and stayed abroad for around 2 years. I have now established residency again in april 2010 and applied for my wife F2A this month. Just wondering if I will have any problems with CIS regarding my stay outside US. I did not have much problem at immigration. I filed US tax returns, maintained bank account, credit card, address updates, drivers licence and came once in a while during my overseas stay.
I always had the intent to return to US.

Will this absence cause any issue with my resident alien status and have any bearing on my wife F2A application?

thanks a lot

Your stay outside the U.S. has no bearing on petitioning for someone. Depending on all the circumstances it could delay eligibility for naturalization. See 8 CFR 316.5 (c) all parts.
