I am on an F1 OPT. F1 visa expires on Jun 12, 2006 and OPT expires on Sept 30, 2006. My wife is here on an F2 visa (which also expires on the same date as F1 visa).
An employer has agreed to process my wife's H1 papers. Can we go to Canada or Mexico to get a fresh H1 stamped for her ? What happens in case her visa gets rejected ? Can we re-enter back into the US if our F1/F2 visas are not expired (although her H-1 papers have been processed ?)
Also, what is better for her ? - going to India and getting H1 stamped or getting H1 stamped in Canada ?
