F2 to H4 - help needed please

Hello,

We are couple and we both came here on F1 student visa. Later I have changed my status from F1 to F2 dependant status and my wife continued her education on F1. Currently she is on OPT. Now she is applying for H1b and I am for H4 dependant. My question is whether I should apply for H4 now or should I wait untill she gets her H1b approval??? My fear is that applying for H4 at the same time could affect her outcome for H1b??? If I don't apply for H4 at the same time than what would be my status once she gets her H1b. would I be out of status or not??? Your advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
 
You do not have any option. You must go with your wife. If she apply h1 you must apply H4 , your F2 status goes away automatically once her h1 is approved. If you do not apply H4 you loose your status.
