I am on F2 and I have been admitted to an MS program in Univ of Michigan. I have the option of a applying for change of status to F1 here in US, or going back to India and get a F1 visa. For selecting between the two, I want to know the risks involved in COS process. Pls answer the following questions:
1. On what grounds do they reject a COS application?
2. If I provide a loan sanction in US for my cost of study - would that be enough for financial proof?
3. If I provide funds from a family friend (no relation), would that be rejected?
4. I will be given a RA job after joining the school - can I quote that for proof of financial support?
