Hi,
I am doing my PhD and have a year and a half to go before I graduate. My F1 visa expired in December 2008. I am planning on getting it renewed in May when I go to India. However, the first time when I applied in June 2003 I was rejected. No specific reason was given (I was told I could apply in 3 days, after which I deferred my admit to Spring 2004). I was wondering whether this could be a problem and if asked why I was rejected the first time, what my response should be?
I would appreciate any response and suggestion? Has anybody faced a similar situation?
Thank you.
