F1 visa renewal in Vancouver

Hi

I am an indian student completed my undergraduate degree and started
purusing masters in another school. I have a new I-20 now. My student visa
is expiring in April 2002. Can I go to vancouver and update my Visa stamp
based on the new I-20 ??

Not a very good idea

I tried to do exactly that when I was on F-1 and got rejected. They told me I should go home to get e new visa. I did that and got it, but I had a lot more hassle because of the rejection stamp in my passport.

That was 1.5 years ago. No paperwork was missing. THey just told me that there is an embassy in my country and that I should go there
 
US NOn immigrant visitor visa

Hello all,

I am a full time student residing in Vancouver now looking to travel to the United States as a visitor on a non immigrant visa directly from Vancouver

I would like to know whether this visitor visa can be filed by myself and recieved at the Vancouver US consul since I am staying on a student permit which would expire by next month end and am unsure whether this would create any problems during filing of Visa.

I look forward to seeing some helpful replies.
