I have got my F1 visa rejected twice based on the grouds of funding. My I20 (for th MBA pgm) shows a cost of 48k. The 1st time when I had been for the interview at the Calcutta consulate, I had not shown the liquid cash covering the 2nd year's expenses and hence was rejected. I had shown my US bank certificate for 54 K. My sister then gave me 22 lacs and when I showed this amout for my 2nd year expenses during my 2nd interview, they had a problem with my 54k and started aksing for the 6 months bank statement . I didn't have them and they rejected telling though it seems you have the funds , but they seem to be borrowed money from your sister. I am not sure whether to apply for the 3rd time. This time I plan to appear at the Mumbai consulate. Does anyone have any suggestion as to how to approach in my case, I would be more than grateful. Will it be a good idea to take a loan approval of 10 lacs or something from a Indian Bank say SBI?
