F1 visa issue..URGENT .SEVIS record ended by mistake .please help
Hi,
I have graduated from a school in U.S in Aug 2004 and my brother came to the same school in Aug 2004. The international office by mistake has ended his SEVIS record along with mine. INS has ended his SEVIS record in the first semester he came to U.S. International student office at the university has created a ticket to the INS after they realized what had happened asking them to refix the data. They never looked into this issue again. My brother was not told that his SEVIS record has ended earlier. Recently (a month ago) when my brother wanted to transfer to another school from Summer, he met with the international student advisor and then she realized that the data hasn't been fixed and called the INS(helpdesk/customer service). They told her that they would fix the data but they dont have an idea as to when they will do it and still they havent fixed the data. Now the international student advisor of the school he wanted to transfer and his old school international student advisor are telling that the data might not be fixed and he might have to reenter on a new I 20. Does any one have an idea regarding this and what are the alternatives left for my brother at this situation?
Please Help ....
Thanks in Advance..
