F1 Visa Holder seeking GC through marriage

Hey there,
How long would that take .. I mean u know for the first interview and all the other stuff till u get the Green card? I'm in the state of California. and considering the illegal immigration from the south borders .. does California have some more severe laws concerning Green cards an stuff? Thanks.

what does that mean? if you cross into the US illegally, you will never be eligible for a GC. Other than that, it takes less than a year to get a GC through marriage in CA.
 
F1 student ...planning wedding

Hi ,
I am on a F1 visa doing my MBA. I graduate in 2006 and my OPT would be valid untill June 2007 .My boy friend has his GC and is eligible to apply for citizenship , in May next year .We plan to get married in 2006 . I have the following questions. Would appreciate suggestions from members on the forum.
1. Can we get married while Iam on my F1/OPT or should we wait untill I get my H1 processed ?
2. We have been together here for the last 2 years. Would there be any issues if we get married and then apply for my GC through family based sponsorship ?
3.Can a I-130 be filed after the Naturilization interview or is it necessary to wait for the Oath ?
