F1 visa/ brother in US on green card

Hi All,

My sister will be applying for F1 visa and I need some advice from people regarding myself becoming an sponsor for her studies in US. I am residing here on green card , if I become her sponsor will that make her a potential immigrant. Please suggest. Thanks a lot for any advice.

nope, as long as she can show sufficient ties to her home country and desire to come back. She will be ok, just caz you are there it dosent mean she is a pottential immigrant. My Mom come here all the time on the tourist visa so no big deal, just show she has enough money to sponsor her education.
