F1 visa application

Namaste sir

I am 37 years old and i am presently working in Mumbai in a Bank.

I have given my IELTS and have started to apply for colleges with the help of a consultancy, my profile is week as I have lower grades in my graduation, however I want to go to USA and settle.

My sister also lives there in US and I have B2 visa. Can I go on a visitor visa and then apply for colleges in USA.

Second question, can I go on visitor visa to USA and then apply for a H1B visa?

You do not need to be in the US in order to apply for college admissions. You can successfully do so, on your own as a matter of fact without using an agency/consultancy if you meet the requirements. Having from the US will not give you a better result vs applying from India if you do not meet the requirements.

Same thing with applying for a H1B visa. Find a job willing to sponsor your for H1B visa from India if you qualify for one. You do not need to be in the US on a visitor’s visa in order to do so.
