Current F1/I-485 pending status, with valid AP. Want to travel abroad. What happend when I come back with AP?
Any comments will be appreciated.

Correct me if I am wrong. I think once a person on F1 status applies 485, their F1(non-immigrant intention) status becomes invalid and their status will be AOS pending. I think you should be able to renter using AP without any problem. You should definitely check with your lawyer. Please update the thread after talking to your lawyer.
Good Luck

It sounds contradictory. But yes, I can keep dual status as long as I stay in US. I heard that once I come back with AP, I will lose my F-1 status. There is no problem that I can continue my study as a student, and get payment using EAD.
Am I right? I just want to get other comments.

Whereas if you re-enter on F1, you are certain that I-485 will be considered abandoned.

AP the only re-entry document applicable in this situation.

You might get lucky, but the position is non-defensible from an abandonment perspective.

Of course I will abandon the F-1 status, since I will not apply for the F-1 visa at home country and reenter with AP only.
