I transferred from F1 to H1B in October 2004 and am employed with a consulting company. I started working for a client beginning October 04 but did not received my first official paycheck from the consulting company until Jan 05. I received one payment through the consulting company on a personal check in December 04. The paycheck delay as per the consulting company was due to delayed payment processing from the client to the consulting company.
Now the problem is that I am going for my H1B stamping to Mexico in Jan 06 and do not have a W2 from my employer for 2004. What do I do? Is this going to be a problem? I do have a copy of the personal check from the employer in my bank statement.
