F1 to H4

Greetings,

I’m currently working on F-1 visa (ending August 2024), and I want to move to H-4 EAD. The initial step is to get H-4 approved, and if that gets approved, I’ll lose my F-1 and hence have to stop working.

I wanted to know if there’s any way to switch from F-1 to H-4 EAD without losing my job.

For you to move to H-4 from F1, your spouse should be on H status and if I-140 is approved on behalf of your spouse you become eligible for H-4 EAD.
