What is the processing time to convert from F1 to H4? Once applied for H4, is it okay to be in the country? When r u out of status? Is it required to go out of the country to get the visa stamped?
Your F1 must be valid while changing the status to H4.
If you apply after expiry of your F1 status, you are out of status and may not get your I 94 along with your H4 approval. In this case, you have to go out and come back with H4 and get your new I 94 (h4 caveat) at the port of entry in US.
