Hello everyone,
I am on F1 now and need to go to India in may. My husband is on H1(2nd term of h1 i.e 4 rth year.) I am planning to go for h4 when i go back to india as my i20 expires on may 1st.
My questions are
1) my husbands visa is not stamped yet, we will go to consulate in india for stamping. Can i get h4 without the stamp on my husbands passport.
2) Is it ok if we both of us go the consulate together-h1 stamping for my husband and h4 conversion for me.
3) what are requirements and papers i need to carry.
4) i am also trying for a new h1 this year but becoz of the 20k h1's delay my only choice is to convert to h4. If i apply for a h1 on april 1st will be under 20k cap or 65k cap.Can i get the visa issued by may 1st if i do premium processing.
5)For f1-h1 issue, I am EE masters and moving to software firm are there good chances of visa approval.
6)Is there any option to return to usa on opt, if i20 is expired.?my opt is valid till september.
i really appreciate if someone answers my questions or put your thoughts forward.
Thanks a lot.
