F1 To H1B when can I start ??

Hi,

I'm currently on F1 visa. I recently got an offer from a firm and they would be filing for my H1B in april. How long is it before I can start working with the firm once they have filed the H1B in april ???

I'm NOT currently on OPT and this would be the first H1B filing for me....

Any help on this would be thoroughly appreciated

You can start working when H1 start date comes. The earliest you can get is Oct 1.
