F1 to H1

Hello
I’m on a F1 visa doing my masters in Connecticut. Although my visa expired this summer but my I 20 is valid till May 2008 (when my masters end). I am currently doing an internship with a Health agency. The Executive Director of the agency asked me if I could work for them regularly for a new position. I told him I could do it only if they sponsor me for an H1 visa and they agreed. I have already downloaded the I 129 and the Human resources of the agency is going to fill it up. Then the attorney for the agency will view the application and file it once he feels it is complete. I am just wondering if there is anything else I can do? I need suggestions since I have no experience of dealing with these kinds of immigration issues before. Also I have a scholarship from my graduate school, I’m wondering if i can keep receiving the scholarship from my school even when I get the H1, I need help and suggestions
Thanks

The health agency is not a very big agency , its called the Action for bridgeport Community Development, It has around 200 employees. It deals with the health of kids from the low socioeconomical status. Its a non profit agency.

you should make sure that agency is exempt from H1 quota. Not all the non profit organization is exempt from quota.

You don't have much to do as H1 is employer's responsibilty. All you have to do is collecting the required document about you,
