I am presently on OPT which expires in June. My H1, if approved will start from October 1st. During this period, I plan on going back to India and get H1 stamped from the consulate. I am confused that in the I 129 form, Part 2, should I request a change of my status to H1 or that USCIS should notify the consulate I'll be going to. Thanks for your help.
