F1 to H1-B

Hello,
I am a Ph.D student. Now a company provides me an offer. I would like to drop from the school without PH.D degree and switch to H1-B. Is there any problem for this transfer? will the school prevent my application for H1-B? What should do? Thank you for any information.

I dont think that the school can create any problems for your conversion to H-1.

I guess that if your H-1b petition is prepared well, justifying your skill set for the position, the INS should not have any problem in granting you the H-1 status.

If H visa is based on the degree you had before ph.d, then U are fine. If your prePhd. degree is not from US, it is not advisable to attempt for a H visa stamp from canada, otherwise you are fine...
