F1 Stamping at Tijuana Consulate

I'm going to the Tijuana Consulate to apply for a F1 Visa stamp in May 2005

Here's my case

First arrival in US by F1 (issued in home country 1996)
Obtained BS and completed OPT
H1B status in 2003-2004
Changed to F1 status (issued in the US in May 2004)
Will finish Master's degree in Dec 2005
I-20 good until Sept 2006
Current passport expires in July 2006

Because of going to an exchange program in Europe in June, I have to go to Tijuana for the F1 Visa stamping (for returning to the US from Europe).

My only concern is the expiration of my passport. Although I will graduate in Dec 2005, the I-20 allows me to stay until Sept 2006, which will pass the expiration date of my passort. I might be rejected because of this issue.

What do you think? Any comment/suggestions?
Any experience to share about the Tijuana Consulate?
Thanks! :)

your passport needs to be good for at least 6 months at the time of visa stamping. Get a new passport.
