I hope someone can help me out.I graduated on Sep2006,and within 10 days after that when I tried to apply for OPT I came to know that I am out of status.Completing the necessary documentation,our counselor applied for reinstatement.In Oct I received from USCIS saying that I payed 130$ for I901 form.I am confused as I need to get a 200$ fee payed for form I539.When I called USCIS they said there was no case pending in my name.I am not sure if my counselor applied for my reinstatement in a proper way.Do I have time left to reapply again?By Feb2007 it will be 5 months since I am out of status.I cant apply for OPT without status.
My husband is on H1(not yet stamped.He came on F2 and did H1 here last year).
Is it good if I can go on H4?And will I be able to go from nostatus to H4 directly,Rather my question is without any status with me,Can I change to H4 or H1?
I will be glad if someone can advise me on this.I Thank You in advance.
