F1 reinstatement application pending for 6 months

Hi guys,
I submitted my reinstatement application last july and it is still pending until now. I contacted my international adviser so she can inquire for me but so far there is no news. Should I call them directly? Is it unusual for the application to be on hold for that long? Please help.
 
You can't have F status and have I-485 pending. You F reinstatement will be denied. But you are in parolee status with AP+EAD so why do you care?
 
If you are on F1 visa only and you have a intention to keep same status then its good for you to get an info pass appointment and ho to ins office for you up to date application status.( its my opnion) because the smae thing happend with me too and i did like that.( good luck) my application was approaved.
