F1 Out of Status

Hello,

Thank you very much for answering my post. I am Master's student on F1 visa. I have completed about 3/4ths of my course, however in august, due to family circumstances, I could not pay the bill for Fall-04 and consequently I was not registered and I went out of status. I however, managed to pay my fees and enrolled for my classes and the school is assisting me in filing for re-instatement. I am told its a fee of $195. Since I'm near the completion of my course, I am worried about the time frame for the reinstatement decision.
If you could please shed some light on this and also about the natrue of the case, it would be very helpful.

did you go out of status for more than 5 months? If not, you will be ok. If yes, then I don't know.
 
Its only been a month. I'm so concerned about the time-frame for reinstatement. My papers will be sent to Philadelphia. Could you please let me know if there's any way to accelerate the process?

A) either by the school helping me in some sort of way; by calling USICS person in charge of reinstatement in philadelphia
