If you have and F1 OPT visa are you permitted to leave the USA during the 12 month period without violating the terms of the F1 visa? Will you be allowed to re-enter the USA e.g if you went home for a vacation or for some family emergency?

do not forget to take stamp on your I-20 from your institution and carry your EAD card.. thats very important.
You might need to show you are working so carry paystubs.

Indian citizen travelling on F-1 status with EAD card

I\'m currently on F-1 and have applied for EAD. Would it be an issue to travel outside the US (to UK on holiday) after I get the EAD, i.e., on F1 status and with valid EAD card. Can there be a possibility that I may be refused entry into US when I return? Are there many people who do this? I do have a job offer for a date immediately after I return from the holiday. Would that help?
