F1-H4-H1 transfer

Hi.

I am currently holding an OPT from my F1 visa (B.S. degree) which will be expired in May 16, and recently my husband filed an H4 for me, and we haven't receive the receipt yet. To my understanding H4 approval notice should be received within 4 months or more, correct me if I am wrong. Moreover, I just got a word from my employer (a non profit organization) that they are willing to sponsor me for H-1B.
My question is:

1. If I got approved for H-1B first then later on I got approved for my H-4, will this cancel out my H-1B status?

2. Am I qualified to apply H-1B under the 2005 - 20,000 quota?
note: I only have a Bachelor degree, but the sposoring company is a non profit organization.

3. If the answer for no.2 is YES, then When can I start working? WIll it be earlier than Oct 1, 2005?

Thank you very much for any help.

2. Am I qualified to apply H-1B under the 2005 - 20,000 quota?

If it is NPO, quota is no botheration to you. You can apply h1 upon approval you can start working.

3. If the answer for no.2 is YES, then When can I start working? WIll it be earlier than Oct 1, 2005?

Thank you very much for any help.
