F1 From Canada

i am currently on a student visa in canada. i have got an admission in a US university and have a I-20 form from them. I want to apply for my F-1 visa for the US while i am on a student visa in canada.

Since i am a citizen of india, can i apply for F1 from canada or do i need to go back to india.

Where will my chances of getting a F1 are brighter?

Hi ,
At present , I am doing my masters in Canada, in a student visa.I had got admission for a Phd program in US for spring 2005 admisson. I am into a situation, that I cannot go back to India as I will be completing my masters by mid of december, 2004.
What are the documents I have to take to the consulate to get an student visa?
I am having a history of student visa rejection (once), when I am applied in chennai.

If I'm not mistaken, in Canada you can only "renew" (this term is technically wrong, I think) a US visa, not get a new one. Besides, even for renewing, it's been said that it won't be easier than getting the one in your own country, especially in last couple of years. I believe the best solution is to ask the US university to allow you to enroll a semester later, go back to India, and apply the visa there. I could be wrong; please keep us updated if you don't mind. Good luck!
