Could somebody tell me how the procedure for changing F1 for HB1 look like? Can I do it for myself with cooperation with a company or do I need a lawer. I have heard the this might be very expensive (6000 $ or more)- to hire a lawer. How much time this process might take? I (or company) should probably apply for HB1 during the time I am on F1 status. And how early should they or me apply for this visa to make sure that some still left?
I am currently on F1 and may have a chance that a company would sponsor me (HB1) , but I dont really know how this process look like. I told the company that at first I could work as a volunteer , before they would decide to sponsor or not. But not knowing the procedure I dont really know how to talk to them.
If somebody who had this situation could give me some advice I would be very much greatful. Thank you.
